Description

More Chroma

Double Chroma from every Chroma pack.

What it does

Every Chroma pack gives double Chroma. The game sets a pack's Chroma by the level of the area where you find it: Regular 2.5 times, Large 5 times and Extra Large 10 times the Chroma of one normal enemy of that level. The mod doubles these factors to 5, 10 and 20.

Chroma: game / mod Area level 10 30 50 70 90
Regular pack 405 / 810 1,358 / 2,715 2,583 / 5,165 3,995 / 7,990 5,560 / 11,120
Large pack 810 / 1,620 2,715 / 5,430 5,165 / 10,330 7,990 / 15,980 11,120 / 22,240
Extra Large pack 1,620 / 3,240 5,430 / 10,860 10,330 / 20,660 15,980 / 31,960 22,240 / 44,480

The Chroma from fights stays the same.

How to install

  1. Download the zip of the latest release on GitHub (expedition33_morechroma_<version>.zip).
  2. Open the game folder Sandfall\Content\Paks\. If it has no folder ~mods, create it.
  3. Unpack the three files of the zip (expedition33_morechroma_P.pak, .utoc and .ucas) into Sandfall\Content\Paks\~mods\.
  4. Start the game.

To update the mod, replace the three files with the ones of the new release. To remove it, delete the three files.

How to use

Nothing to do: the mod works as soon as you load a game. Every Chroma pack that you pick up from then on gives double.

Compatibility

  • Game version: 1.5.6 (1.5.6.0).
  • The mod replaces three game files: the Chroma pack data DA_Item_Chroma_SizeRegular, DA_Item_Chroma_SizeLarge and DA_Item_Chroma_SizeExtraLarge. A mod that replaces one of them conflicts with this one; only one of them works.
  • A game update that changes these files needs a new build of the mod.

Known issues

None yet.

How to build

Anyone can build this mod from its source code and check that the download matches it.

  1. Install the tools: Windows PowerShell 5.1 (part of Windows), UAssetGUI v1.1.0 and retoc v0.1.5 in a folder _tools\uassetgui\ and _tools\retoc\ above the repository (or set UE5_TOOLS), and the game's mapping file Expedition33Mappings-1.5.6.usmap in %LOCALAPPDATA%\UAssetGUI\Mappings\. The game must be installed: the build reads the class of the Chroma pack data (BP_DataAsset_Item_Chroma) from it. README.md has the details.
  2. Build it: powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\build.ps1
  3. Find the files: dist\expedition33_morechroma_P.pak, .utoc and .ucas.
